    Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, Western Michigan University Homer Stryker MD School of Medicine is seeking a full-time masters level psychologist (LLP or TLLP) with the primary responsibility of conducting comprehensive psychological evaluations including administration, scoring, report writing, and other clinical pediatric psychology services. This is a staff position that will focus exclusively on providing clinical services. Good organizational and interpersonal skills and efficiency are necessary to be successful in this position. Knowledge of the healthcare system, particularly pediatrics, is desired. The psychologist will be part of a multidisciplinary health care team including physicians, nurses, medical assistants, multiple subspecialists, as well as medical students and residents. The psychologist will join 2 other full time pediatric psychologists in the department.

    Responsibilities

    Administration, scoring, and interpretation of the following types of psychological assessments:

     

                Intellectual

                Academic

                Adaptive

                Affective

                ADHD

                Language

                Autism

                Neurological screening

                Others as required

     

    Documents patient care and actions per clinic standard

    Maintains CEUs required by license

    Availability to work occasional overtime on weekends or evenings to complete time sensitive projects.

    Acquires knowledge for new technology and policy/procedure revisions.

    All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Masters degree in counseling and/or clinical psychology from an accredited APA program
    LLP license or TLLP at the time of hire

    Psychological testing experience
    Ability to use an Electronic Health Record

The 350,000 square foot educational building on the W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus located in downtown Kalamazoo underwent a $78 million renovation and expansion project including two laboratory research floors and a state-of-the-art Simulation Center that is accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. The Innovation Center on the Parkview Campus is a life science, technology, and engineering incubator serving the earliest startups to maturing companies with laboratory, office and conference space, access to core scientific equipment and expertise, and a wide range of support services.
