The Department of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine seeks a board eligible or board-certified Pediatric Endocrinologist to join its growing academic department. The department has approximately 70 community-based and 25 full-time academic employed faculty members. The pediatric residency program is a fully accredited program with all subspecialty care and tertiary care capabilities. There are 24 categorical pediatric and 16 medicine-pediatric residents.
The candidate will be joining a thriving practice served by a multidisciplinary team including 2 pediatric endocrinology faculty, 2 registered dietitians, endocrine nurse, medical social workers, psychologists, and medical assistant. In addition, a team of diabetes educators from the Bronson Diabetes Center provides inpatient and outpatient diabetes services for pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong academic and research interests to fully participate in the education of our medical students, residents, the faculty, and the community at large. Administrative duties for the school and the residency program are expected. The faculty will have protected time for clinical, research or other scholarly activities, with support from the research and statistic departments. There are excellent opportunities for clinical research in collaboration with the Center for Clinical Research at WMed.

WMed Health is the clinical practice of the medical school with more than 300 providers offering comprehensive primary care and specialty services in several locations throughout Kalamazoo, Portage, and Battle Creek. The Department of Pathology faculty serve as the Office of the Medical Examiner for counties throughout Michigan and northern Indiana.
The W.E. Upjohn M.D. Campus located in downtown Kalamazoo serves as the primary educational facility with faculty and administrative offices, student study and social spaces, team-based learning halls, a state-of-the-art Simulation Center accredited by the Society for Simulation in Healthcare, basic science research labs, as well as toxicology and forensic pathology labs.
