The Sponsored Award Coordinator supports WMed students, residents and employees throughout the lifecycle of sponsored (externally funded) programs. Sponsored programs are conducted for the purposes of research, education or service across WMed, and the Sponsored Award Coordinator is assigned to specific programs, with the responsibility to interact directly with investigators, project managers, and other key personnel guiding them through the pre and post award phases.
The Sponsored Award Coordinator facilitates planning, preparation and submission of grant proposals according to funding agency requirements and WMed policy, becoming an essential part of the planning for any sponsored program. This involves connecting potential investigators with internal and external personnel and resources, and establishing relationships with collaborating agencies. The Sponsored Award Coordinator is responsible for coordination of internal time and effort reporting and support of technical and progress reporting for ongoing programs.
Throughout the life of a sponsored program, the sponsored award coordinator acts as a liaison between WMed and funding agencies, providing interpretation of policies and regulations to ensure compliance with funding agency policy.
This opportunity will focus on post award responsibilities for sponsored programs, including the Center for Clinical Research.
